If you watch Tim Lovejoy’s Something for the Weekend you’ll know that every week there’s a gadget round up called Somethings for the Weekend (see what they do there). This week they featured the SWaP watch from Dyal - it’s a touch screen watch, a mobile and also plays mp3 and mp4s too. All in all it sounds pretty cool, and the clip of the show is available on YouTube.

It’s a fun gadget and will fulfill your dream to talk into your watch James Bond stylee, but is it any good? Reviews are somewhat lacklustre at the moment but FrequencyCast liked it so much that they bought one. Price reports vary too! Early indications suggest that the RRP was going to be £199 but it’s currently £249. The Swap Watch has a certain coolness attached to it, but perhaps it’s too gimmicky to appeal to the mass market - sometimes somethings are better left in the movies!
