If you’ve ever watched BBC’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (it’s on a Sunday morning just before Something for the Weekend) you’ll know that it’s about kids learning magic. They’re not always that good either, especially when they’re doing card tricks or making rabbits disappear. If only they had a FunFlyStick… now that would show The Sorcerer a real trick (and hopefully wipe the grin off his face).

The FunFlyStick is a multi-award-winning wand that lets you levitate and control various metallic shapes. Forget Harry Potter, move along Paul Daniels and up yours Mr Sorcerer as there’s a new magic man (or woman) in town. The toy is award winning and has picked up Toy of the Year from Creative Child Magazine.

The FunFlyStick contains a tiny battery-powered Van de Graaff generator, which, when activated via a button, generates an electrostatic charge. This allows you to make different Mylar Flying toys appear to levitate. The kit comes with a wand and 3 shapes (butterfly, sphere and hourglass). We’re not sure whether there will be more shapes to buy at a later date or if other items can be levitated, but the FunFlyStick should provide hours of fun and amusement.
