USB Boxer & Tengu - More Gizmos To Clutter Your Desk!
March 27, 2008
We all get angry with the computer - it crashes, browsers stop working, email won’t send, boss is complaining about how much time you’re on Facebook and so a little bit of venting is often needed. Step forward onto the work desk The USB Boxer. This gadget plugs into your USB port and gives you the chance to throw some punches via your PC. It even comes with authentic crowd and bell ringing noises too.
Just plug in your boxer, uploaded the software and hours of computer boxing fun is at your finger tips. It’s a shame the boxer’s face can’t be changed, but you could always put a picture of the boss on the speedball to help improve your aim and vent that anger! The The USB Boxer is available from I Want One of Those and costs £29.99 (Use code VOFF8 to get £5 off when you spend more than £20), MemoryBits for £23.79 and £24.99 at Play.com.
If a burly boxer on your desk isn’t for you then perhaps the latest gadget at Firefox, Tengu, might be more for you?
Tengu is described as a “USB-powered desktop companion that sits by your computer making different faces according to its mood” - it also lip syncs to any music it hears so as to give the impression of singing along (singalongTengu!). Tengu won’t do anything unless you activate it - and that’s done by blowing! Yes, you blow Tengu and it will then make faces at you!
It does sound a little bit weird, but could well be the ideal companion if you like the idea of a plastic box singing at you!
See Tengu in action…
Tengu costs £19.95 and is available from Firebox.
